Hopefully nobody was hurt as the driver side is on the left, which looks untouched.

The tree looks unmarked.

From the way there is no roof at all, I reckon that photo was taken after whoever drove it into the tree was cut free from the wreckage, making it look significantly worse than it was (!). However, still a pretty massive impact and if the driver survived then he should consider himself extremely lucky!

I was thinking it had probably had a bit of the old jaws of life treatment rather than being ripped in half. Got to have been doing some to do that much damage.

On a more serious note he must have been going at some speed sideways, that picture was probably taken just after a bend or something, or one of his right side tyres blow up.
