Audio dropouts and various errors.

Hi

The last month i face a serious problem.

My pc has very often huge audio dropouts.
Sometimes also the system crashes and-or restarts

I used latencymon and dpclat to identify the problem.The strange is that in dpclat i see the big red values which indicate my problem but in latencymon i don't see any important issue.
In dpclat i get the message ''Some device drivers on this machine behave bad and will probably cause drop-outs in real-time audio and/or video streams. To isolate the misbehaving driver use Device Manager and disable/re-enable various devices, one at a time. Try network and W-LAN adapters, modems, internal sound devices, USB host controllers, etc.''

I installed the latest amd chipset drivers,gpu drivers,Rme(audio) drivers.My pc is ''tuned'' for audio.

I also saw in event viewer and reliability monitor the following errors(among others-i find that those are the most mportant) :

Did you change anything with the system prior to this beginning one month ago?

What are you doing when it crashes? Can you describe exactly what a 'crash' looks like?

By restart, do you mean that the system restarts, like... you get a black screen, followed by BIOS screen, or does it BSOD first?

Are you saying that sometimes the audio is lost, but the PC can continue to function normally?

No,i didn't change anything.
when it crashes,it just restarts(he pc) or my main program(cubase) freezes or restarts.No black screens or bsod.The audio is not lost.it has audio dropouts.the audio is corrupted.i cannot record because those corruptions affect the recordings.Also the corruptions are audible in the playback.i have dreopoutsd when using cubase(asio drivers ) o just the windows media player

thank,i ll try bios.i did a test with prime 95 for both cpu and memory and it didn't find any problems
After memtest if no problem with that with no errors I would reinstall all drivers if problem still there I would reinstall a clean windows that sorts out a lot of problems - with minimal usb peripherals and no extra internal ssds/hdds, just the basics and then slowly introduce things hardware/software (because of any third party s/w conflicts- drivers) slowly including extras internal ssds/hdds-internal network card etc each time leave til at least after when normally exhibit the problem now and see if/when the problem starts again to see if it's a software problem or hardware. There could have been a problem with a latest update with a driver that installed automatically. This is what I would do to fault find it.
Make sure all overclock settings are at stock.
if you have a clean install make sure no yellow mark on drivers - make sure all installed.

In case of a hardware problem, why should i reinstall windows etc? Isn't there any way to identify the problem from the reports?
I ve already reinstalled amd, gpu, lan etc drivers

It could be a problem with software it's not necessarily a hardware problem. Just saying what I would do.
ok,i understand but this will be the last solution....i need 3 days to set up again my system.There are also occassions where the problem persists after a clean win install...so i d prefer to find the problem.If it is hardware problem,the clean win install doesn't help...

The last month I suddenly had lagging, and windows crashing when using my Asus STX II - it would stutter during playback, and then sometimes blue screen. I never found the issue that caused it, however I had the feeling it was a windows update. Now to solve I had to put the latest motherboard BIOS on, and the problem appears to have gone away.

Now if the BIOS update fixed it, or another Windows update fixed the issue I don't know, however it's strange you mention this started a month ago, and this is around the time my Asus STX II started having issues.

Another thing to consider...

You have 2 NVMe drives. Could it be possible they are occupying PCI express bandwidth and causing the issue with the sound card?

i ve sent an email to asrock support(they always answer within some hours!) and they sent me a betabios that has this newer asga but iam not sure if i should install a beta bios...

I know I have a different sound card, however for my Gigabyte Elite I installed F37c BIOS that stated
  1. Update AMD AGESA V2 1.2.0.7
It's only a guess, but the issue that's effected you could have been the same thing that effected my Asus Essence STX II, and was fixed with F37c.

I don't know, someone else on this forum, maybe in motherboard, or storage section would know more on any PCIe lane issue.

I do know from the BIOS you can allocate the PCIe lanes to devices / graphics card, such as 4x / 8x / 16x, again I'm just giving you a tip for something to possibly check out. I think however it could be a BIOS issue as my last post.

I've been having issues with this, I thought a BIOS update had solved the issue, but it returned. However looks like I've solved this.

The stuttering I was experiencing was only occurring in Amazon Music, and YouTube videos. I do play 2 computer games, these being Company of Hero's and Doom Eternal, the stuttering never once happened in those games. I never made the connection before, but it appears network card related.

I found the following post on audiophilestyle.

The settings I've changed on my Intel I211 card are the following.

Interrupt Moderation - Disabled
Receive Buffers - 2048
Transmit Buffers - 2048
Disable Flow Control - I left this still enabled
Energy Efficient Ethernet - On if system is awake. I don't think this is important however, but expect the first 3 have solved the issue.
