Audio for car help

All depends on how well you want it to work

The box will want at least 1krms to optimally.

If you really want it to work well, youd probably be better off making a custom box

Ahhh i think it does have an amp built in but are them amps powerful enough to run subs and speakers, and no its not for the 8k corsa

No way on this planet is a FLI sub, be it a twin box or not, capable of 800w RMS lol

Matey, please do keep your questions to one thread, far less annoying.

I love how when someone wants to put a sub in their car they automatically assume chav!

That sub is an active sup which means the amp is built in. They're not amazing but they will give you bass. Certainly not 800WRMS worth though!

Have a look on CarAudioSecurity and have a look at the 'Bass Deals'. It depends on what you listen to but a 12" sub is generally a good all rounder.

People assume chav after seeing the piece of crap chav corsa he wanted to buy.

Why do you want such loud bass? Do you think it will make you look cool? It won't.

Concentrate on driving and not having one of your senses incapacitated by the overpowering sound of crap music.

There not the greatest of things but it'll give you some bass.

Much better saving up and getting a proper install done if your after loud good bass but then you'll need good speakers / components to actually hear the rest of the music.

Not to mention you'll no doubt want some dynomat to stop all your panels rattling if it is indeed going in a corsa.

800w RMS lol, apart from *lol as if*, I have a 200w guitar amp, you absolutely would not want that playing up full in your car so why on earth would you want 4x the power!?

Totally different kettle of fish, i have a Marshall JVM 410H 100w head with a 4x12 cab with vintage 30's, you could play play a concert hall with this thing, i couldn't do that with a 100w sony hifi.

Why would anyone want something like this in a car? You would look like a complete utter knobhead whilst vibrating down the road with a stupid racket coming from your car.

Put this with people who have stupid silly loud halfords exhausts.

That's what was confusing me! This is a hiwatt 200w head and 4x12 cab (in which I don't know what the drivers are rated to, more than 200w obviously) too, you'd be off your rocker to want that volume level in a car but I guess it's more complex than w=loud! (though I find it hard to believe it's not a good indicator, if the sub can supposedly handle 800w or even half that if driven by a powerful enough amp then it must be ridiculous)

Different strokes for different folks

Must have grown up a HELL of a lot since your Fiesta ST. Loud exhaust was on that, no? Was there a loud exhaust on your VXR? Loads of daft "you wouldn't catch me doing that" comments lately? :)

Nothing up with subwoofers if people like their music full bodied. I couldn't have a car without a sub as it's where I get to listen to my music most of the time. I have a JL audio 12" basswedge sub/vented box and a little JX250 amp and it would smash the living daylight out of a twin vibe box, but I also know what a volume control is :)

^^ i was going to suggest to the OP not to bother messing around with cheap tat and instead get a JL audio sub & amp, plenty on the bay 2nd hand for reasonable money.
