Audio not working

Hey guys... again.

So it says no speakers or headphones are plugged in. When my speakers are actually plugged in... I dunno what to do really, some help would be appreciated [':

Have you tried the speakers on a different PC?

Check audio drivers are installed and that your speakers are plugged into the correct place at the back of your PC.

They are pluggerd into the correct port at the back of my pc. They work on my other pc fine.

And yes I have downloaded the audio drivers from the motherboards website and still no luck.

I have the Asus Maximus IV motherboard if that helps?

Have a look to see what is the default audio output device? Might be a clue there.

Are your headphones being plugged into the back or the front panel?

I've tried headphones in both, and I dunno what it is, my computer just doesn't seem to recognize my speakers, even though I have the drivers

Is this onboard audio or separate card?

Edit: I gather it is. Is on board audio device enabled in bios? If not, I'd not be surprised to see these symptoms.

Yes it is, and I just don't know what's up with it, I really need some help fast, anyone havea ny advice?
