audio over hdmi from gpu

okay well I have my gpu connected to my receiver then to the monitor via hdmi, picture fine but in sounds it reports that my hdmi isn't connected(playback devices show 6 amd audio devices)

update, you really should check the specs of your equipment, my old av receiver doesn't convert audio through the HDMI to onboard audio, only passes it through to the monitor out, so optical lead ordered and phono lead connected for now

You can get HDMI audio extractors, little box that splits the signal. I use optical though.
