Audio Player

Hey,
Does anyone have any reccomendations for a windows audio player which i can start listening to an mp3 file and then close the player and reopen it at a later date but continue playing the track at the same point I closed the player.

Play it from the same point? I don't know - Foobar may possibly have this feature, but wait until somebody strolls in that uses it.

Winamp automatically saves songs that played in a list at its bottom, but it doesn't save it at the point of closure.

The reason I want this feature is that I have some books in audio format and they are very long so being able to open the audio book and close in in the middle of the story and then to be able to reopen the track and it to continue playing from the same point would be very handy.

Ah good point. I must start getting audio books. They're great for e.g. car journeys.

yeh, their excellent but when you ahve to scrub through the tracks to find out where you got up to last time, each time then they start to become a real pain. So this feature would come in extremely handy.

Foobar does it.

Go to preferences > playback > 'Resume playback after restart' - done

A plugin for windows media player such as the following but for windows xp or vista wouldbe perfect:
