Ok so my teenage son has been using FLStudio to make he's own audio tracks ...but he tells me when he is converting them to mp3 the the quality is very poor indeed , is there any software that he can use to convert the tracks he has made with FL Sudio and keep the same high level sound quality please ?

Thanx :)

I'd suggest Audacity. I don't know what file format your son is saving the audio tracks to initially and whether Audacity can open/interpret them but I'd wager that Audacity can help in some way. :)

File > Export >

From here you can choose mp3, ogg, wav. Wav is going to be the highest quality you can export into and should be lossless. From a Wav you can then convert the choon into any other format you like using any other bit of software you fancy, as suggested above Audacity.

If its got to be mp3 that he wants to export to then move the bitrate slider all the way up to 320kbps. Remember the exported file is only ever going to be as good as the orignal mastering.
