Australian Grand Prix 2010, Melbourne - Race 2/19

20 years ago, the sport was exciting, partly because we had "characters" - drivers who didn't care about what their bosses thought. In 2010, Hamilton is the closest thing we have to a "character". Every other driver has been trained to deal with the media like a politician.

Are you joking? Hamilton is the most manufactured of them all! He actually half cracked today in the interview. He was going fine until proded a bit more by the interviewer and came out with the 'find out who call me in' line.

I seem to recall people telling me that Massa would get his rear handed to him by Alonso and that Alonso is so much quicker that he would have no trouble besting Massa on-track.

Seems like that was slightly premature.

I was one of them and still think it will happen. I'm fairly neutral on Alonso - I think he's a great driver & has some balls of steel, but can't really stand him personally, however you can't ignore he has jumped into a brand new team and been on it right away.
