Australian Grand Prix 2011, Albert Park Circuit - Race 1/19

Liuzzi's HRT falling apart even before it's got to double figures of laps.

You didn't state, is that worse, or better than you expected :p

EDIT:- so Ferrari's on soft, Alonso gets an extra second but, comparitively thats not great is it, depends exactly who behind them was on softs aswell but considering soft tires Ferrari seem well behind and Massi as per usual, just unable to really show the same speed as Alonso, though without the mistake probably not that far behind Alonso, on hard tires he was 7/10th's behind Alonso's time.

I hope HRT are refused permission to start. They are just so slow, it could be dangerous for the leaders to negotiate these moving chicanes.

OK, I take it back. Heidfeld shouldn't be sitting in that Renault.
With all his tyre experience Im amazed he was that poor - its not like the track temperature is nothing he hasnt had to deal with...

Just how Massa stays in that seat still amazes me...

ps3ud0

EJ really doesn't listen. Lotus haven't been able to get the tyre temps up, so it's a complete failure for them and they need to go back to the drawing board and start again?

Moron.

It was said in FP3, that all teams had agreed for everyone to take place in the race, regardless of the 107% rule. So I expect to see them on the start grid.

SO softs are making such a difference that, slower teams will default to softs in Q1 anyway won't they, which will really make a difference, if everyones forced into softs(or most of the grid) in most of qualifying, how many tires are they allowed this year of each tyre?

Alonso was barely ahead of Kobyashi and the rookie even on softs, Massi was way behind them, Schumacher was well down still on softs, was Rosberg on softs aswell?
