There was a small area left unregulated in this years rules. Only 50mm wide. But the teams spotted it and the T-wings are the result.

Made a mistake in turn 3. Should be faster on his next run.

Kimi still 0.9 seconds behind Hamilton and over 0.5 seconds behind his teammate. Still, the race could factor better for him.

If I was Lewis, I'd be pretty pleased to see Vettel ahead of Bottas. Last year Rosberg won because the car gave him wins whenever Hamilton had a bad weekend, and second whenever Lewis had a good weekend. Looks like Ferrari will be taking points off Bottas this year.

So much for it being a 3 way fight so far. Verstappen in the Red Bull is 1.3s behind Hamilton.
They were talking up their chances and "We've got Newey"

Still stuck with a Renault engine though…

Obviously glad Hamilton is pole, hopefully we'll see Ferrari mixing it up throughout the season, still early days.

After a number of ropey seasons early on, I think Grosjean has matured into a really pretty good driver.

The Ferrari engine must be getting pretty good.

After a number of ropey seasons early on, I think Grosjean has matured into a really pretty good driver.

I'm hoping that grosjean gets a seat at Ferrari very soon.

I hope so. I've been pretty disappointed with Kimi's performances lately. He's really not the driver he once was.

It has taken them long enough! The aero package doesn't look half bad either. The gap has been coming down for some time, it is wasn't that long ago that Mercedes could pull several seconds a lap on the field, we just only saw it when it was absolutely needed.

Should make for a more interesting season. The only problem I see is that Ferrari seem to sometimes struggle with continued mid season development.

He's shown great pace before, but the consistency has never been there. If he's turned that around he could be a contender for a top seat.
