Australian masterchef

And why the hell is Kylie single. A the looks, B bacon doughnuts

Agreed, seconded and motion carried.

Am looking forward to the episode where she makes a baked savoury dish that is filled with beef, carrot, tatties, neep, onions and pepper..........ready for smashing ;););)

Love Kylie :D

Also, was anyone else quite disappointed by the "dude food", i know i was!

I was fully expecting some epic burgers, kebabs maybe some gourmet pizza or masses of ribs.

Yes, there was only 4 dude foods.
And I want the recipe for two off those deep fired ribs and the Indian pan roll.
The beef rib sloppy joe is easy to do anyway.

And I just want Kylie to cook me the bacon doughnut.

I know, it's not on :(

Feel really sorry for Sam with having to go home to his hot wife/gf and setting off on a food tour of Europe and all.

Yeah, hes an unfortunate soul alright! ;)

Andrew the barrymore hairdresser manages to slide through once again, what a complete and utter annoying tool he is.

Just caught up with the dude food episode.

Kylie <3

Andrew- the guy is a joke.

I predict Julia will win. She's a bit too smug, but I think she's probably the best all round.

Tregan is getting hotter by the week, not sure why.

Alice is getting more on my nerves by the week, too saccharine and looks pouty all the time.

I think serving raw food, should be worse than flooding no food.
Either leave that element out the dish and apologies or serve nothing. Serving something that rare should off been instant out.

Immunity challenge:

Tregan to Jules, "I want you to start again, and make it like how he (Matt Moran) said." :o

These guys must get so much help that we don't see.

e: This might be the worst immunity challenge performance ever :o

Something that's starting to irk me is the overuse of the splodge of sauce then smeared down the plate with the back of the spoon (I'm sure there's a technical term for that!).

Couldnt agree more mate, worst immunity challenge ever.

Tregan is the weakest in the competition for me, she should go but i do find her to be hot and would like her to throw me about for a bit.

Weakest, have you forgotten Andrew?

She certainly lacks leadership skills though.

Andrew is just rubbish. Tregan lacks a lot of ingenuity/creativity that people like Julia and Audra have, I don't think she does that well under pressure.

Just watched the team challenge- ffs, Andrew survives again.

No, how could i forget Andrew, he does however seem to have an uncanny knack of nailing the challenges and squeezing through.

Really enjoyed yesterdays episode though, it was a tough challenge and the food they managed to rustle up was very good....probably very similar in style to what many home cooks would knock up of an evening. (with few ingredients i mean rather than an amazing pantry at your disposal)

A wee bit of a shock 3 last night, plus one of them went home !!!

It's a great show but what does let it down is those that sometimes go home are hero one day, zero the next and could quite possibly win in the end. While some middle of the road/poorer contestants can really hide while they're in a team and pull out 1 nice dish when it really matters.

Noooo, Tregan :( I guess she wasn't that good anyway.

One problem with Masterchef Australia is the little individual recaps they do midway through cooking, e.g. xyz explaining what they're doing or how they're feeling at the time. Because this mini-interviews are obviously in retrospect, it's often pretty easy to tell who fudged up or got eliminated (i.e. they look and sound pretty flat). So kinda spoils the ending a little bit.

e: nice, Heston and Marco Pierre White on this week. Hope they have a bit more input than Rick Stein did.

Enjoyed last nights episode, some of the dishes just sounded rank though!

Shame the guest judges cant have more involvement, i would have really liked to have seen Heston giving the masterclass or even in the elimination cook off.
