Australian 'Net filter to block video games, too

Australia's controversial Internet filter, now in testing, would block all material that has been "refused classification" by the government. Because the highest rating available to video games is MA 15+, any game intended for people over 15 will be blocked.

now that sucks , no 18 rated games and most of them are nowdays aren't they.

Any game that fails to qualify for one of these ratings is "refused classification" and can't be sold in Australia.

the world is going mad but game's arn't to blame infact they calm me down, nothing like a good fragging session on call of duty or UT3 to calm me down after a stressfull day

Lets be glad, happy, and thankful that such gremiums protect us from the killers lurking in us all.
