Authenticator App of choice?

I've just setup Authy instead of the Google Authenticator.

Setting Authy up was easy for Paypal, Etsy and Samsung. Adding Google was a real pain as the security section for 2FA doesn't actually give you a clue how to get to the Authenticator App stage after you initially turn it off and on again.
 
Authy here, can put it on Apple Watch which makes it a lot easier when getting codes
 
had to send my iphone off for repair last week totally forgot to deactivate my 2fa with google authenticator, think ive finally got around to sorting them all back out, but have just switched to the MS one as I can see that backs it up to cloud which its done so now have a mirror on ipad, am i right in thinking the ms authenticator cant backup to anything other than icloud in ios devices therefore cant restore on an android device? Is this Authy that people have mentioned cross platform?
 
MS Auth backs up to your MS account, so if you are restoring, then make sure you log into the same MS account on both devices.
 
You must be signed into an MS account though in another app or on iOS that it's using? OOr perhaps it works differently on iOS based on what Apple only allow so it's using your Apple account instead. If the latter then you won't see details section in the app's settings where it says cloud backup where you can see what account it's backing up to under "recovery account".
 
yeah im signed into my ms account on both ios and android, i'm guessing its like you say it only allows me to backup and restore to icloud and not my ms account, just installed authy and seems to work across platforms so might give that a go, but spent the last few hours doing the other two so cba tonight :)
