Authorised reseller of steam keys?

If steam were so against resellers then wouldn't they stop G2A and Kinguin from sponsoring CSGO teams at big live events? Kinda funny seeing valve games played on the biggest stage with the names of steams biggest rivals plastered everywhere. WOuld be kinda hypocritical to allow people to discover G2A etc whilst watching a valve games, and then have steam later restrict/ban your account for using them...

Thats a very good point. Im still too paranoid to use a service thats being labelled as a scam at this time however.

Also all the keys that have been banned by ubisoft are kinda off-putting. Am I right to assume those were from community sales and not directly from G2A though?

Valve aren't the problem (Except if you start bypassing region locks. Even though I think region locks are utterly ridiculous)

Thanks again for the feedback. I can see that GTA 5 is available as a hard copy or as a digital copy (digital costs a couple of pence more strangely) yet MKX is only hard copy. Would this mean that I can put the code in the case into steam for MKX and get routine updates and such via steam?
Yeah, if it uses Steam it will come with a Steam code, and you can install the game on Steam through the disc.

But surely g2a etc get there keys from other regions, thats how they get them cheap, so if steam employ region locking a) how do any of the keys actually work? and b) they would be against g2a etc.

Me being a goody two shoes have decided to air on the side of caution and go with announced, legit vendors.
G2A keys are legit.
G2A is known for donating huge sums of money to Humble and other gaming events.
Just make sure you buy for your region as some regions are cheaper than others and Valve will revoke the key.

Region locking mainly affects countries within the US. Why? Because the US use one currency which is valued the same across the whole region. A $30 dollar game is worth the same in both New York and San Francisco.

Now take the EU, you have multiple currencies all valued at different amounts. So good old G2A can buy a game for the equivalent of £25 in Poland and sell it for £30 to someone in the UK, easy £5 profit.

If you look around these key website you will the ones that are region locked has really hurt the US prices, the US region games aren't cheap at all, for instance:

Resident Evil Revelations 2 Complete Season.

- EU Unlocked: £11.59 - £8 off Steam price (Polish key no doubt).
- US Unlocked: £18 - £2 pounds off Steam price (And out of stock).

Sucks for the US who can no longer activate EU games on their accounts.

Value could fix this by adding country restrictions, but I'm sure they are smart enough to realise that doing this will make a lot of people very very angry.. and rightly so.

I use Kinguin more than any other site these days. My last 13 game purchases have come through Kinguin, never had any trouble with them at all. All have been steam keys and all at quite a saving.

The fact that people are split on whether to trust G2A.com or not has kinda put me off them.

Now checking prices on CDkeys.com however again shows the two games at a massive saving as G2A.com was offering...

Again is this site legit?

G2A.com are ok, better than most. I've never had a key revoked with them. However, I never feel comfortable shopping there. And recently their Shield / Paypal price increases have made them less enticing to shop with.

I prefer to shop with humblebundle.com (who do charitable donations) or greenmangaming.com (who can discount with their membership scheme). Or just Steam direct.

I've also bought a dozen games from Kinguin, for myself and for my friends, and have not had a problem with them. I always buy keys from sellers with at least a 97% or higher rating depending on how many reviews they have.
