tried it too... haven't played for a few days now but the loading times are CRAZY.. start a race at LEAST 5 mins to load up a track and connect everyone.. and as much as i know no one is even talking about the reduction/optimisation of this.. only reason i don't try any more of it really
its the people with slow computers slowing everyone down
if everyone has decent computer it loads really fast just like it does for a time trial
if i thought it was worth writing a review i would but i thought it was terrible.

There are 3 tracks just now.
I think it's actually good. You need to do a lot of throttle control, so is best with a wheel. Control pad players won't like this at all.
Only got the opal car just now but I can see it being very good when people are in supercars. It handles beautifully once you get the hang of it.
Graphics are great and runs at a good framerate with just a 4850/E5300.

My beta key came today, will be trying it tonight after work.

Three laps of Spa was enough for me to know it aint great.
Graphics are very average at best, I had everything on Ultra with 4x AA and I wasn't impressed at all. Sound is poor, no in car view, force feed back is as bad as Shift 1 and 2. Acceleration is basically on or off and the controller calibration tool is basically broken. They are aware of it, so why even both even launching a beta? This sort of stuff should be working by this stage of developement. In fact the G27 & G25 and a few other popular wheels should just work out of the box.
Some of the gravel traps at Spa shouldn't even be there. The inside of Au Rouge is tarmac not gravel and the outside of turn 9 (it doesn't have a name) is tarmac also and not gravel.
if iracing is the benchmark, then this game falls very short indeed. Even something like Race 07,with it's dated graphics, is a far far better game than this is at the moment. Beta or not they really should be further along than this.

Ah well C.A.R.S seems the better choice these days and with rFactor 2 around the corner I think this is going to die pretty fast
