Rember Asus used to have Ai booster that let you auto overclock. Is there any software out there at the min that les you do same thing? Can I download and use Ai Booster on my new mobo?

The reason I ask is under full load my q6600 Go only goes to 46 Degrees C so a little overlock isnt going to hurt, but dont feel brave yet and I dont want to mess around as I havent got the time and dont need a big overclock.

I have:

Asus P5KC mobo
Q6600 GO

Cheers

Ive tryed systools which doesnt seem compatible with my asus P5KC mobo. All I need to do is increase my FSB yes? At the min its 267mhz X 9. So shall I just go into bios and increase by a bit each time? I dont get this memory divider be 1 or less bit? When Do i have to increase the voltage?

The software should come on the CD with your mobo... From experience runs very high vcore for the sort of O/C you get.. better to have a read of the threads on here and be brave and go into the BIOS and set it yourself... a lot more fun!

Read the beginners guide to O/C.. but yes esentially you increase FSB.. and then fiddle with vcore and ram, should get 3 - 3.2 on stock cooling had mine at 3.2 on stock

Yeah reading lots of them on here at the min still not brave enough yet.

When do you have to increase the Voltage of CPU? Do I have to play with the multiplyer? Can I leave at 9 and just see how much I can raise the fsb? What do I have to do with the memory divider, can I just leave it? I have OCZ 6400 2gb 800mhz. Can I leave everything and just get the fsb up a bit to start with? cpu voltage at 1.2375V

Im using a Thermaright cooler at min, under orthos stress test at min I cant get it above 44 degrees C.lol Defo neeed 3.0 Ghz at least

when should I fiddle with Vcore? When do I know i need to add voltage? Do i have to fiddle with ram or can I leave that for min?

leave your ram and o/c the cpu. Normally when stress testing the overclock using prime. If a core or cores fail the prime stress then increase the vcore a notch and retest for all 4 core stability.

If it doesnt load up can I just restart and go into bios and put it back or wll it automaticaly do that?

The Asus P35 bios automaticaly sets a safe setting if the first boot fails.

You are then able to go back into the bios where it remembers the "broken" settings and you can tweak them

also just a quick point I do believe on that mobo you can save set-ups once you have found a stable setup I suggest you save it.. then you can fiddle away and load up your "last" stable settings when it all goes wrong.. saves a lot of time remembering exactly what you had last time it worked..
