Does anyone know of any software which will auto sync selected files or folders when I connect a laptop to a home network (via wifi) ans store the files on another PC or NAS

Depending on your OS, you could try Sync Centre?

Not sure if that's exactly what you're after, but on Vista, in Control Panel, you'll find the Sync Centre icon.

I use it for important files on my server.

I have the files on my server so all systems can get at them, always up to date, but I use Sync Centre to ensure they're stored locally as well, in case something happens to the server. Also makes a useful backup.

thanks V1N i have downloaded synctoy and given it a try, but unfortunately it does not sync automatically as it require a a manual run (or shedule setting) to sync files/folder.

do you know of anysoftware that will sync as you go?
