As the title says, im after some advice concerning one of the work PCs which has stumbled across something ive never seen before:
''Autochk program not found, skipping Autochk''
This error occurs as windows is trying to boot, just before the windows startup screen. It goes round in a loop where it will just turn itself off and goes into the Autochck error again. The system will not boot into any mode, ie safe mode, Last known ect... have tried system repair disk/command prompt and done the usual fix' commands and chkdsk. In diskpart the partition is set as active also. None of the above has worked.
Last thing i tried was Symantics PTedit, to try and see if the booting partition was set to anything other than value 07, but low and behold, it is at 07. Im fresh out of ideas, and being under an IT support firm, my bosses do not wish to shell out a £300 call out fee.
Any more ideas to get this solved?
PS: The machine is a crappy Dell XPS one..All in one solution heap of junk lol
