Hi all, hoping to pick your brains.

My wife works from home, and has tasked me with finding an easy way of automatically backing up her work data.

Is there a way to back up automatically at the end of the day, say as she turns off her computer, with the bare minimum of input from her? It needs to be off-site storage, cloud based. Less than 1tb is needed, the pc runs Windows 10.

Any pointers, with an idea of cost, will be greatly received.

Can't stress enough though, this needs to be as simple as possible!

You could take a look at Google Backup and Sync. You select what directories to backup and when (at shutdown might need to done via a scheduled task) and it just runs in background at the chosen time uploading the files to G Drive.

For a backup solution you can rely on you will need to follow the 3-2-1 rule,
3 copies, 2 of which are on different media, 1 copy needs to be off-site.

Does she have MS Office installed on her PC?

iDrive or BackBlaze - both will cover 1TB+ for a few quid a month. IDrive is a fair bit quicker to backup from what I've seen but both are reliable and are usually right at the top of any personal cloud storage reviews.
