I am an auto convert, auto is better 90% of the time. However I do miss the manual gearbox in my EP3 Type R now and again.

You think that's bad. The fluid in my 350gt CVT is used in no other car and has no 3rd party equivalents.
It's AU$690 a can.
You need 2 cans for a change.
I really hope something else dies before it needs doing!
I know! To be fair you can buy it online a bit cheaper but it'd still be £450 plus possible import duty.
You can probably just use another oil that meets the spec (or higher).

I'm an oddball as I like the sound of automatic cars (the constant engine speed and smooth transition to a lower constant engine speed... Maybe this is just old automatics?), especially on big engines... But at the same time I don't really like automatics having inherited my Dad's bias and not owned one yet to be able to see for myself.
Although this thread has gone on for four pages so it's posyible we're arguing about handbrakes by now again anyway.

Because it was a third the price of a manual and half the price of a standard auto because everyone is scared of the the box!
With my mileage it's another 2-3 years before its due a change anyway, so I can either budget for it then, sell it before hand or ignore it and just drive it in to the ground.
