I'm surprised theres nothing about this here.

From Reiza studios, the guys responsible for Stock Car Extreme, after a hugely successful crowdfunding campaign Automobilista is released on early access.

Free to owners of SCE.

I cannot recommend this enough, as a simracer of 20+ years this is up there with the likes of Assetto Corsa and iracing in terms of physics if not better but has easily the best force feedback of any sim with a tonne of content.

Gave it a quick go last night, as I owned Stock Car prior. The sounds and physics really are great. To me personally. Have yet to try with a wheel but quite enjoying it!

I've been eagerly awaiting this too, they did such a good job of the physics/tyre model in SCE that I had high hopes this would be great also.

Tonight I should get chance to take it for a spin :)

I must be doing something wrong as this is pretty awful, for some bizarre reason it wants to keep the resolution at 800x600, I change it to 1920x1080-32 and it saves OK, start the game and it still looks proper Mickey Mouse, quit, check the configurator and hey-ho it's changed itself back to 800x600-32.

The FFB is hilariously bad so far for me, it's like it's back to front no matter if you do it +100 or -100 but I don't think it's even saving any configurations anyway as it keeps resetting to a game-pad default and nothing 'confirms' anything is changing or has changed, there's also 4 or 5 different 'Thurstmaster' - Yes, I kid you not, they have called Thrustmaster - Thurstmaster, it did make me giggle a bit when I saw it, configurations in the game, none of which seem to work, and to top it off the wheel randomly goes berserk and then doesn't work in the middle of a race.

The UI is bad, very, very bad, even back in the late '90s where it looks like it's come from it would be bad. Half the stuff you can change in the Garage doesn't change even though it has the < and > to say you can...although some of it doesn't have the < and > any way for some reason.

The graphics are mediocre to put it kindly. But I've not been able to see what it's like at anything other than 800x600 so far...

I did like what little I got to play of the Super Trucks, seemed very nice even with the FUBAR FFB which seemed to add to the mayhem a bit, the Lancer Rally Cross was also looking promising but again I had zero FFB.

Yeah it's Early Access but let's face it what Game is released nowadays that isn't 'Early Access', we're paying to Test so I really don't buy into that excuse.

No way is this worth £23.99 as it is, Raceroom Racing Experience knocks this out of the park and it's FREE.

Looks are average but I'll admit it's brilliant with my G27. As above said the Force Feedback is pretty epic and I'm finding this extremely satisfying indeed. The menu interface is lame and the game physics and not perfect but If your have a wheel definitely check this game out.

RRE doesn't come anywhere near this in terms of physics or FFB, don't be kidding yourself.
Also RRE i not free if you want to have any content worth mentioning.

The issues you are having are all your end I'm afraid, nothing wrong with the ui either its perfectly fine.

I don't think you've tried Raceroom Racing Experience for a while... ;)

It seems there's issues with this game and Thrustmaster or should I say Thurstmaster Wheels, my T500RS just won't play ball with it, no settings 'Save' and if I try and edit the various T500RS .ini files which are apparently copyrighted to 2007 so 9 years old, then the game just hangs when I load them.

I seem to have got it to save/stay at 1920x1080 at last but now there's no shadows, and no anti-aliasing....

In a last ditch effort I decided very late last night to Verify the STEAM Install as I just didn't know what else to do and sure enough it says there's 5 bad files and it will re-download them...but it doesn't.

I was going to try and get a refund from STEAM but then I've spent so long just trying to fix the ****ing game it's ran over the 2 hour time limit...

Check the Automobilista forums over at Race Department if you haven't already done so :

Check the user guide.pdf in the /support folder. It tells you what to do regarding AA.

I've been playing this more. It's pretty epic. Not the most glorious looking but to me anyway it feels great on my G27 and the FF imho is the best yet. I highly recommend you try this game. Karts are fun also.

I have two versions of this one steam. One the beta and one normal, which do I use? My t500rs works fine with the presets loaded in game and the changes I made, have saved.

There's some pretty amateur aspects of this game, like having to use Nvidia Control Panel to enable AA(which I still haven't got working) or customizing the HUD involving ini editing, but the actual experience itself is top tier. FFB, physics and AI are best-in-class. Sounds are also immense. It doesn't have the most compelling variety of content, but it offers something unique and what's there is all high quality.

I hate it when someone gets out excatly what I want to say ;-p. Spot on. AA seems to be working for me (1440p ultrawide)
