I really hope the electorate are not that stupid, alas, we all know how stupid joe public actually is!

God help us if Labour get back in without learning some harsh lessons from their last term in office - which to my mind, they haven't.
 
This is so embarrassing, this isn't tradition this is ******** and they need to stop acting like kids.
 
Balls going round the same cycle again and...... He's got no answer at all. I shudder to think what damage he'd do if in charge of the public purse.
 
So Stamp duty,

Nothing on the first £125K
2% on anything between £125K and £250K?

So a house you buy for £180K, you only pay a stamp duty on £45K, which works out at £900?

It's terrible to watch this and hear all the heckling.

I cannot believe these people run our country and have to be told off by the speaker of the house and if they can't behave they should get out. It's like school, or a sketch from Blackadder.

5% on anything up to £950k as well I think.

So stamp duty a £350k house is: (£125k*0)+(£125k*0.02)+(£100k*0.05)=£7.5k as opposed to £10.5k at the moment.

Edit: added first £125k for clarification.
