AV amps with networking

this might be a dumb question but if i got an av amp with networking does that mean you can stream HD content to it from a pc and so i could get rid of my HTPC under my tv?

Onkyo have some but Im pretty sure its audio streaming only mate.

As DirtyJester said, the networking is for audio - usually music files and also internet radio. An AV amp isn't likely at this stage to have the video codecs needed for streamed video.

ferret there are plenty of other streaming options out there mate that will not cost a lot or take up much room.

There starting to be Blue Ray players that can also stream, including video. I'm waiting to see what the new Marantz UD7006 will be like. I think the new OPPO players also will offer it.
It's the direction I will go, BD player with streaming.

My pioneer AV amp network connection is only for internet radio.....Was hoping it could do more
