AV unit cooling help needed

I have a wall mounted TV unit from Ikea which looks great however my PS4 gets really hot in it, so much so that the fans are maxxed out! To counter this i have to pull it out and rest it on the drawer whilst playing to stop the heat.

I want to put some cooling solution in but I'm not sure what? I have it mounted on the wall so I can't really vent out there, however it is off the ground so I could possibly pull air in from there.

Has anyone got an recommendations or a guide that I could use at all?

Thanks

Holes in the bottom I think is the only viable option as the top is visible and covered in glass!
I could put a USB fan in, how would I power it as the PS4 only has 2 usb slots so I'd want a standalone power source?

Any phone charger with USB socket should suffice. Although taht would mean it would be on permanently unless you unplug it.

Problem is hole in the bottom is that it will draw air in but not work well at pushing air out, and for all the air you bring in you need to get rid of!

Can you post any photos?

Oooo toughy.

I would look at maybe fitting some grills to the rear of the unit at the top and getting the glass cut around them, keeping it a professional look. Or get rid of the glass all together?

Hmm whilst I would be happy to do that, I'm not sure that the missus would let me!
If I put holes under each end, with a fan pulling air in and one in the middle pushing it out, would that work?

Could very well do! Would air get to the one pulling air in though?

If they were located either side of the PS4 as well that would help create some form of air flow :)

Is the back of the unit firmly against the wall? No space between it and the wall at all?

The PS4 exhausts air from the back. Where does it pull air in from?

How about just placing fans on either side of the PS4 push air from back to the front and exhaust from the front of the cabinet. No need to cut or drill. So its worth a shot before doing the other stuff.

Yea it's right against the wall, only hole is one that the cables run through to the TV.

I could mount fans either side of the PS4 I guess to help shift the air through that compartment, shouldn't be visible really as it's dark in there.

Just need to work out what type of fan I need and how to control/power them!

Maybe one either side of the PS4 both pulling air out, so the hot air the PS4 pumps out gets pulled away from it, assuming it draws air in from the front?

That's an option to try first I guess. Any ideas on what fans and how to power them?

Pc case fans and a 12v power supply with molex connector

pc fans, 2.5" caddy with mains power, 2.5" fan controller.

Thanks guys, will have a look at this option.

I know people who have built ducting for their ps4s as all hot air comes out back and cool in from sides. Could you duct it down?

I could possibly build a duct and vent it to the left and then out underneath or to the side.

What TV unit is that btw? Looks like what I'm after.
