Is it possible to have a sata raid 0, and 2 ide drives in normal non raid mode on the promise controller on the Asus Av8 at the same time? I've got a couple of sats hds and set them up as a raid 0 on the promise controller and I moved my ide drives to the bog standard ide ports, but I've been getting some perculiar read errors in windows since then when using the ide drives. I remember I originally put the ide drives on the promise controller cos I heard somewhere the normal via ports were a bit flakey. I'd like to keep an ide drive in the system for easy backup and that.
