You do realize many a folk on here aren't actually interested in computers, right?There are many sub forums on here that cater for all sorts.
Whereas everyone loves fictional gangsters?
I doubt that many people sign up to the OVERCLOCKERS forum who don't have an interest in computers. Also, just because people have other interests and post in other sub forums, doesn't mean that is their only interest.

It's got nothing to do with what everybody wants it comes directly from our Godfather the original creator of the forums & the shop.
Am I the only person that remembers where we all come from & who started this whole thing ?

Oh I'm sorry, so anyone that wasn't here on day 1 or hasn't done a "Who Do You Think You Are" style investigation into OCUK is some kind of lesser member in your eyes?
Pipe down mate. Some people haven't been members for the whole of the last decade.
Personally I am liking the new avatars, gives me something new to look at as the others were becoming stale.
I am still highly frustrated by the fact that Silvio Dante is a higher requirement than Tony Soprano, however! TONY WAS SILVIO'S BOSS. Not the other way round
I think people should know what they are talking about when they have an opinion, So Yes to that bit.
As for me looking down on other members I think you'll find you'er wrong about that as well, I am one of the first to Welcome people to OcUK & treat all members the same apart from the ones I have personally met.

But I never stated an opinion on the origins of the mobster avatars. Just an opinion on their current use.
It's like saying you can't disagree with religious schools because it was Christians that originally founded the school system.
As for me looking down on other members I think you'll find you'er wrong about that as well, I am one of the first to Welcome people to OcUK & treat all members the same apart from the ones I have personally met.
Well apologies but "Am I the only person that remembers where we all come from & who started this whole thing?" does come across as a bit pretentious to anyone that has signed up after the forums were created. Why would you expect people to take an active interest in something so mundane?

Firstly, it's not a 'community' it's an internet forum. Secondly, I know about Overclockers, they are a computer and tech e-tailer whom I've used many times, but I don't see the automatic link between a computer parts shop and Italian-American crime syndicates but maybe I'm missing something. Was OCUK set up by Carlo Gambino?
Nor would I expect anyone who joins any forum to have to research the original creator before they offer an opinion on it's current management. It's an internet forum, not the American Constitution we're discussing here.
