Average board age.

incorect verb ending.

Im 29. I have a very imature sense of humour and life outlook, age means nothing.

most 16 y/o's do, including me when i was 16.

And they are absolutely utterly and invariably false in that estimation.

That said, I should imagine you can look back at yourself 5 years ago and cringe every 5 years for the rest of your life.

They tend to get banned? heh, I joined here just after I turned 14, just turned 15 last month :)

Truesay, but i imagine it gets to a point where you look back and realise you've actually done nothing in the last 5 years of your life

Quite funny seeing the average mental age guesses of people. It really depends on what subforums and at what time you read. General Discussion is by far the worst for childish behaviour :p
Meanwhile you'll notice suddenly everyone goes all adult in the Members Market section ;)

Luckily I go to a grammar school now for 6th form and there to be plenty of mature people there, not like the secondary school I went to which was full of chavs and complete idiots. Luckily many of those types of people don't register on the forum because they are too stupid to use the internet.

So who's going to write a script to grep the database to examine the birthdates folks have listed in their profiles so it could then calculate with reasonable certainty the average stated age of the board's denizens?

Without the likes of Big Kev, dmpoole, Rotty & Dtab, us 20 somethings would be amongst the eldest on here.
Even at their age they still have a use, I'll raise an alcopop to them:)

Good guideline is to have a look at the main forum page and check the birthday list for ages. OK, so some people may have false info entered as their DOB but over a period of a few days it should give you a fair idea.

E.g. today the average (mean) age of birthday boys/girls is a shade over 26 - not much younger than myself.

Personally I'd say that while there are a lot of people in the 17-21 age range here, there are also quite a few in their 30s and beyond which really bumps up the mean average. If you looked at the median, I'd expect the average to be lower and closer to that early 20s bracket.

well congratulations. i wasn't talking about every single person under 16, as i have already pointed out in this thread. also, i didn't mean a month literally. i meant a short period of time. i see you joined less than a year ago.
lets see if you manage to make that two years... :p
