Just wondering what the average voltage a 6300 needs for 3.2GHz? Got mine at 3.2 at the mo and im just wondering what volts other people are putting through their chips?

Thanks, Ben

Wow! You must have a great chip what Week is it? Im at 3.3 with 1.28 going through it :)

Is that not below stock volts aswell?

I havent started to clock till i sort all my cables and grapics card out.. With a fan control.. I would be really happy if i can get 3.2ghz on stock volts or as close to stock

What ram have you got? Ive had value RAM up until today and i was stuck @ 2.66 just bought some Geil 6400 off gt_junkie and now im at 3.3 havent tried for more yet, could post at 3.5 but couldn't get into Windows :(

Where do you read those volts.. From bios is correct?

Cosair denomator 6400 stuff.. Got 2gb but prices are so cheap i am gonna buy another 2gb when the r600 is out..

Wow.. I am unsure off mine.. Like i said i need to sort out

1. Grapics card is half faulty want to buy a new one before i start to clock.
2. tidy my wires
3. Get a PC7 or keep the antec 900 and tidy it..
4. get a new heatsink and a fan control

Whatever the zalman box says its anything but quite.. I get 20c idle and 35c 100% otherous thingy for 4 hours.. (did it to see temps)

Thats on stock untill i do those things...

Tbh, I'd go with TAT and Core temp being correct especially with them agreeing on temps. But on my system Speedfan TAT and Coretemp all agree give or take 2-3oC.

EDIT: Just noticed youv'e got a L2 chip, from what ive heard these run 10-15oC hotter than the B2 chips, and you've got 1.325v (Your default) Where as mine is 1.2375. So your temps are quite good seeing as you've got a hotter chip:)

Well.. I go by speedfan.. I put a kitchen thing in there with the led screen and it showed the same as speedfan.. It will be better when i have the fan control.. I am hoping i can get 3.2ghz i just had a big tidy up in there with cable ties.. looks 100% better!

EDIT- Plus the Zalman is poop! I am gonna get somthing a bit better what do you use? can you show pics?

What heatsink and north bridge cooler is that.. I have a DS4 that has all that heatpipe stuff do i need a northbridge cooler?

What temps are you on at 3.2ghz

Its a Zalman flower type cooler but you wont need one on the DS4 with the heatpipe cooling, im at 3.3 at the mo and Core temp says 32oC at idle :)

EDIT: The Heatsink is a Thermalright Ultra 120
