Average speed check in roadworks

A lot of people have absolutely no idea how SPECS works either. even the "Average Speed Check" signs don't seem to give them a hint.

Rocket up to the gantry, slam on the brakes, crawl past the camera, then blast off like an F-15 on full afterburner until the next camera. Brilliant ploy :D

Even when I'm on my bike I'll only do about 55-60ish despite not having a front numberplate . In the car I just set CC to about 54 and just forget about it. I genuinely wonder how man people get caught?

This is how they do it. When they come to the 2nd camera, they quickly pull into someone elses lane as close as poss to their rear bumper (mostly to the back of vans/lorries) the camera does not see you as having passed.

Had one guy do it to me one day and seen it countless times, on the roadworks widening between Luton M1 and the M25.

Not a smart thing to do when the lorry/van slams his brakes on for the camera
