AVOID THE M1 NORTH BOUND!!!!

Don't know if any of you have any reason to be having to go on the M1 tonight but my advice is STEER WELL CLEAR!!! It is beyond bad! I have been sat here for the last 10 minutes with the engine switched off and the handbreak on wishing I still smoked! South bound it seems to be moving but very slowly. Although I can't se very well cause im STILL on the slip road from the M25 (which incidentally will be shafted too by now).

Please tell anyone you know who might be going up north on the M1 to avoid it like the plague!!!

/edit it has taken me almost 2 hours to get from the M25 to JUST be able to see the first junction since I joined the M1!

PLEASE AVOID USE THE A1!

update: we have just gone past junction 10 and now we are moving! it went down to ONE lane back there! now south bound is completely stationary!

Poor buggers!

Please can a mod remove north bound from the thread title.

I always avoid the M1 northbound. No sane person should ever attempt it without an international coalition militia. :eek:
 
I would like to see a policeman come and arrest him.

Anyway, I have been in some right awful jams, they can be avoided by having the mentality that driving is a task in itself, not something you do while having a business meeting/ginsters pastie/daydreaming in the middle lane.

Both hands on the wheel and 100% concentration please.
 
M11/A11 tonight for me. Although I'm still at work so by the time I get there the worst of the traffic would have cleared.
