Avoiding ebay fees

I dont understand why there has yet to be a good quality cheaper version of ebay? not free, just lower fees, they need some competition to force the price down.

Sure there is gumtree etc etc but they are just like MM (worse actually, the MM on ocuk is really really good tbf never had an issue, I appreciate it exists!)

eBay actually own Gumtree. The reason is popularity, everyone knows eBay. There are alternatives, but you don't know of them because of how popular eBay is, most people don't bother to look around, and most people on eBay are buyers rather than sellers.

If you use the alternatives, your prospective customer base is much much smaller.
