Hello all, i do quite a bit if running and have started getting blisters, even on long walks (3 hour+).
I've purchased running socks to assist but they don't seem to help. The blisters are always in the same place, to the side of both little toes and they hurt like hell.

How do you guys deal with, or even better prevent blisters?

Tape my feet in prone spots, but recently haven't needed to bothered as I found a good sock, and my feet are quite hardened.

Need to persist with the pain and let your feet toughen up.

I found soaking mine in alcohol spirit toughens them up. A tip from an old colleague who does it with her dogs. Feet were like leather after a few weeks.

Works wonders.

Tape might help (or you could find that it's annoying or rubs somewhere else) but that sounds more like an issue with your shoes, either the toe box is too narrow or your feet are moving back/forwards too much and that area is getting rubbed excessively. You could try lacing your shoes like this http://www.fieggen.com/shoelace/locklacing.htm and see if that helps. I always tie my laces that way as it lets me keep the heel tight without having the shoe tight across the rest of my foot.
