AVP or BC2?

OK, i'm gonna get steam rolled on this one, but I need to decide by tonight.

Which game is better overall? My rig isnt great, but will play both games at med. settings, so thats not the issue. I currently play MW2 (far too much) and would like a bit of a change. Used to play 2142, thought that was fantastic, had Battlefield 2 for a bit too. However, would it be worth going out on a limb and trying AVP? I can only afford one of them, so which is it going to be?
 
I'd say Bad Company 2. I've played both, and AvP is quite boring after a while, although is fun for a little bit. Personally I play BC2 with low settings, as it's easier to see people and easier to make sure you're hidden when trying to hide. Although since you're after a change from MW2 maybe AvP might be better for you, but I'd still recommend BC2 over it.

This is from an online respective of course, single player I'm not sure as I've only really played multiplayer for them both.
 
the avp multiplayer is very buggy , i still play it but you seem to wait ages to join an online match . not playing battlefield2 i could not coment on this lol
 
battlefield without a question for me, but it all comes down to individual tastes, take a look at a few in game vids, then make your own mind up =]
 
Although AvP levels are short, the three campaigns make up for it, and you say you want something different, so go with AvP, as BFBC2 is just a MW2 copy !
 
AvP was a disaster not surprising to see really after the same company released rogue warrior.

Get bad company 2 AvP was disappointing to say the least.
 
Hmm thats a hard call, but only as you play mw2 so much! I too play MW2 online loads, 300+ hours or something silly, trying to unlock all the titles. I have been seriously tempted by bc2 but know if i get it i won't have time to play mw2 anymore. So far I have not commited the cash yet!

If it's a single player game you are after i would not get either. AvP had bad reviews and bc2 single player is short like mw2's is. I played the multiplayer demo of AvP and to be honest did not like it one bit.

To sum up if you want single player get neither, if u want multiplayer it has to be bc2!
 
to be honest, I'm in the same boat as overclick... less than 200 headshot with famas to get my last title for it lol... I daren't look at how long i've been playing it lol.
So yes, I'll be getting BC2 me thinks, cheers for the input guys :)

Not having time time the play MW2 anymore isnt a bad thing though :p

You will be clean and free from the farce that is IWNET :p
 
I think so, game play is very similar in single player... even some of the levels, almost a carbon copy...
