AVP or BC2?

BC2 by miles. AvP isn't great to be honest, there are too many little niggles about the multiplayer that add up and will just stop you coming back after a while and the single player is really weak.

BC2 great game and don't get into the mw2 rubbish its not in the same league mp as bc2, for me war= vehicles without is just a joke.

OK, i'm gonna get steam rolled on this one, but I need to decide by tonight.

Which game is better overall? My rig isnt great, but will play both games at med. settings, so thats not the issue. I currently play MW2 (far too much) and would like a bit of a change. Used to play 2142, thought that was fantastic, had Battlefield 2 for a bit too. However, would it be worth going out on a limb and trying AVP? I can only afford one of them, so which is it going to be?

BC2 All the way,, As long as you can log in. Getting as bad as Modern Warfare 2 !!

Personally I play BC2 with low settings, as it's easier to see people and easier to make sure you're hidden when trying to hide.

This is one thing that does annoy me about pc gaming compared to console. lowering settings for an advantage.

I suppose it's down to personal preference, but why should I need to lower my settings to be on an even playing field?

Anyway, moan over.

I know what you mean, my son is a pro CSS player and he plays at a silly 800x600 with low settings on a very good spec PC for the same reasons.

Just daft imo, I couldn't enjoy a game looking like that.

Here's an idea.... don't buy either!

AvP is ****-poor at best, and why spend £35 to participate in the beta programme for BC2? You may as well go out on the lash with your £35 and come back in a month, by which time they'll have hopefully sorted-out this farcical situation where they can only accomodate a fraction of the 2.3 million people they've sold the bleedin' game to.

... yes, another night of disconnects and all round EA-sponsored frustration with bc2!
