Avril

While I may end up regretting this, I'm very much an Avril fan. Have been since the first album. The second album was (in my opinion) the perfect follow up and showed she had matured.

Now I think she's gone the wrong direction. The new track is too much pop, not enough rock. I would like to add though that she is looking stunning these days, but unfortunately, I think this has something to do with it. I can see her going the way of Britney, Christina and Pink. Each with their own style, but in the end, becoming annoying modern day spoilt brats.

But hey, I won't judge an album by the first single.

And those samples are really good :) It's going to be another fantastic album, and while 'Girlfriend' is backwards to what she usually does, thats not what the whole album will be.

a lot of people said the same when they heard "He Wasn't" from Under My Skin, that she was getting a lot more pop than before, but it was just that one track that was like it.

And as for the video, like I said before, its meant to be a mick take. And the theme of the song, while not confirmed, you can sort of tell and its been hinted at, is about when her now husband, was with Paris Hilton. So it's all in jest, a couple of interviews about the making of the video say it was just all about making a fun video.
Besides, it reminds me of the "Complicated" video in a way, and that was a great video

I'm ready to be laughed at about my Avril geekiness

Either way i doubt it's a serious video, it all seem very tongue in cheek anyway.
 
Her legs are freakishly short.

She's like 5 foot tall, her torso is normal length, but her legs are only about a third of her total length.

It's messed up I tell you.
 
Awful sounding song, and she looks dreadful to be honest.

She looked amazing in the skater boy days, but im not liking those clothes or that hair or that makeup at all.

TBH ive always thought of her as looking dirty and unclean. I wouldnt touch her with a barge poll =/
 
I really liked the first album... Plus, she came out with this line in an interview:

"Some girl came over and said, right in my face, You ruined punk rock. So I stood up and kicked her in the box"

Any pop star that plays football is alright with me :D

She has some of the best teeth ever. I love fangy teeth on a lady.

Avril Lavigne is superhypermegafit, anyone saying otherwise is at LEAST 50% gay or has bad taste.
 
I heard that in the next episode of Prison Break, Michael Scofield hunts down Avril and frames her for the killing of Stedman, thus imprisoning her for life & preventing her from releasing this crud. Just a rumour.

not much of an Avril fan, but I like the song, it's catchy i can c myself singing the chorus over and over, and I like the video
