As per title, what's your the best/worst day out out you've had and why?

Worst Port Vale 2-1 Spurs, FA Cup 4th Round, January 30th, 1988

Not only did we lose terry Venables first game in charge but the tickets where very oversubscribed meaning that crowds were squashed in like sardines in the away end.. A year before Hillsborough, it was an accident waiting to happen as we know what happened a year later. I was terrified and the police sent the horses in the crowd!!! To make it worse the bus left without us as growd where dispersed away from the ground.. :(

Best Aston Villa 0 - 3 , Spurs, August 23rd,
This was my first away game I drove to after passing my test . On the opening day Clive Allen scored a hat trick and went on to score 49 goals that season. How much would he be worse today? Was just such a great day.. Very hot too if i recall.

Best: Croatia 2 - 4 England, Euro 2008

First ever England game and totally worth it. Not only was it a good result, but the atmosphere in the stadium was just insane. The whole tournament was amazing to be a part of.

Worst: Spurs 4 - 1 Man Utd, January 1996(?)

First ever match, one I won't forget. Brothers a Spurs fan so it was a New Years treat for me and him. Lost Schmeichel just before kick-off, and the torture continued from there. Sat in the Spurs end behind the goal, and was very glad no-one knew I supported Utd.

Best: Barrow 5 - 0 Kettering Town

First ever Barrow match I had been too and I will go to every home game I'm able to attend after that. It was a glorious day, with a glorious result and a fantastic performance and I can't believe I havent been to one of there matches sooner. Shame about the Grimsby result this weekend :(

Worst: Southampton 4 - 1 Carlisle

JPT final, living in Cumbria it was a 12 hour round trip and to go 1 - 0 down in ten minutes was not pleasant. Was my first visit to Wembley as well, which is still a stunning stadium!

Best: Man Utd 0 - 2 Coventry City CC 2006?

Awesome if only for the result! 11,000 sky blue army all packed behind one goal made for an amazing atmosphere too!

Worst: Sheff Weds P - P Coventry City Champ 2007

Nothing wrong with Hillsbrough itself (bar the pillars) but it had been raining all week and was bucketing down on the day. Pitch clearly wasn't playable but the ref decided to go ahead anyway and then called it off after 30 mins!

Then on the rearranged fixture we were 1 up thanks to Zavon Hines until Richard Wood (who now plays for us) scored in the 91st min!

:D :D :D :D :D

I'm a season ticket holder, I was supposed to be at that game but went to Old Trafford to watch Manchester United v Derby the directors box instead

My Dad went along to Hillsborough though, and I got a text off him explaining his annoyance and his annoyance that I wasn't there getting soaked :p :D

United won that game 4-1  Really good performance :p

Richard Wood, horrible what happened to him at Wednesday, still annoys me tbh.

Best: Liverpool 0 - Arsenal 2 1989

We got our tickets early, but on the day, we thought there wasn't much point in going, as winning 2 - 0 at Anfield was unheard of in those days, so we thought we'd blown it. Thank gawd we made the right decision and I still get a chill down my spine when I see Michael Thomas' goal again.

Worst: Galatasaray 0 - Arsenal 0 (lost on pens) 2000

Having had two of the best days of my life for the CWC Final a few years earlier, we decided to go to Copenhagen again, big mistake!!

The transport was late when we got there, the atmosphere was hostile to say the least, nearly got a police dogs teeth in my arm, choking on tear gas after we left the bar, awful performance in the match and to top it off, the transport to the airport after the match was 2/3 hours late.

Millwall away for obvious reasons, nice day out till the bricks started flying.:)

Coventry away, while not being the worst ground, highfield road was still a carp hole. Didn't help by compounding that by having stonking hangover, kipping on my mates sofa the night before, and it being -4 at kickoff.

I just wanted out of there, cold coffee, cold food...0-0 with super alfie haaland playing up front... awful.

Milan 3 Liverpool 3 (Liverpool won on penalties) 2005 Champions League Final

For obvious reasons a fantastic away day. :) I can't see it being beaten it ever.

Chelsea 3 Liverpool 2 2005 League Cup Final

We were so close to winning it one nil but it wasn't to be, to top it all off I caught a cold by the time I got home!

Best Spurs 9-1 Wigan - Ok It was Wigan but how many people can say they have seen their team score 9, as someone who only makes half a dozen games a season this was a game I will never forget

Worst Everton 4-1 Spurs FA Cup Semi 1995, all the way up to Elland Rd for this, dreadful from start to finish

Was at both of those.. I queued all day for those Semi final tickets at the lane a few weeks before.. What went wrong?? I was sure the the winner of this game would win the cup outright.. I was right..

Worst - Dagenham and Redbridge 4 - 1 Brentford 2011.

I was bored at work on a Tuesday night (I normally work until 8pm), but at about 6 I somehow convinced my lacklustre Dad to make the journey from Hampton to Dagenham East. I met him at Monument after coming up with an elaborate excuse to get out of work early and then we made the journey over to East London. We were 2 - 0 down without either team having a shot on target (a dodgy deflected rebound, and an own goal). We also initially sat in the D&R team's families seating area by accident. It was cold, wet and we scored in the 92nd minute. Our manager got the sack in the morning.

Other terrible days include away to MK Dons in the NHS. Uncovered seats. It rained. We had a player sent off in the 4th minute and we played for a 0 - 0 draw. Also, away to Birmingham City this season in the League Cup. 1 - 0 up, conceded in the 93rd minute and lost on penalties. Coach journey back to London, then cab across London - got back at almost 4am on the Wednesday morning and up for work in a few hours...

Best - Southampton 2 - 2 Brentford FA Cup game against Soton when they were in the Premiership. Came from 2 - 0 down, scored some amazing goals and had Soton had a legimate Kevin Philips goal rules out in the last minute! He did end up getting his own back and scored for Birmingham City against us in the above game's last minute!

Other great days were also in the FA cup. Beating Luton (when they were in the Championship) and also beating Wycombe away 2 - 4 as well.

Worst - Halloween Newcastle 5 Sunderland 1
Best - Chelsea 0 Sunderland 3

Been to plenty over the years but these recent ones stand out due to the sheer unexpectedness of both results.

Everton 7 Sunderland 1 was pretty awful too as was Preston 4 Sunderland 0, I can think of many more bad than good for some reason

Worst: Southampton 4 - 1 Carlisle

JPT final, living in Cumbria it was a 12 hour round trip and to go 1 - 0 down in ten minutes was not pleasant. Was my first visit to Wembley as well, which is still a stunning stadium!

I was there as a Saints fan! If you slow down the replay of Antonio's goal you can see me and a mate having a chat behind the goal! (I think it was mainly about if we could actually keep him or papa waigo for this season)

Best away day 2-2 away at Watford in 2009, gave us a glimmer of hope to stay up in the Champ (didnt happen) but I saw one of the best free kicks to bring it back to 2-2 from Saeijs :D

Worst:
Tranmere away 2-0, was the worst birthday, a fonte/davis mistake for the first and an amazing dale jennings strike for the second, we were completely outclassed by an average l1 team. Never been more disappointed

Best

April 1998 - Starks Park - A 1-1 draw with Raith Rovers to confirm promotion to the SPL.
Nov 2009 - McDiarmid - A 3-2 win in the Challenge Cup Final against Inverness Caley. This stands out more than the league win as I was only 10 when that happened. 2-0 down at half time and we came out in the second half and tore them to pieces to win 3-2.

Worst

April 2006 - Hampden - A 3-0 defeat to Gretna in the Scottish Cup Semi-Finals.

Thankfully I didn't make it to the Livingston game when we were last relegated.
