The Voice Of Football
Am off to the premiere of this next week in Liverpool. Hopefully it wont be another football factory or green street as we have had enough of them but it looks good for a relatively low budget film

The novel itself by Kevin Sampson was a good read with quite complex character development and reflected the casual scene in the late 70's and '80s really well.

Anyone else looking to see this?

Well the premiere was very well received last night. I think it is on general release from today in selected cinemas.

It is not a football factory type movie at all. Sure, there are some seens of graphic violence but the main plot of the film is about the development of the relationship between the two main characters and the main character's desire to belong to 'The Pack'.

If you have seen Control and This Is England and enjoyed those you will enjoy this. If you are expecting a Football Factory/Green Street bloodfest with Danny Dyer calling everyone a 'right tasty geezahhhhhhh' then give it a miss.

Oh, and the book fills in quite a few blanks in the plot...
