Hey,

A friend pointed me to a youtube video recently and I thought the song was brilliant, so I went out and bought the only two things that the band had released. A small EP (10 minutes or so) and a CD that came out a few days ago.

The band is called 'Halves', and if you're into things like Sigur Ros, the new Radiohead sound, that sort of thing, then you'll love these guys. Their music is almost hypnotic at times, its the first CD I've listened to in ages that I can just sit there and listen to.

Only thing I can find on youtube by them is a song from their CD, called Medals. Theres some live stuff but thats not as good as the clear production you get on their CDs. Link to the video - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=po7SeOQtVHs

Try them out, they're awesome. And home grown (kinda), they're Irish.

I don't even know what ATPR is! :D

Just found this myspace site about Halves. Worth taking a look, its got the Medals video on there, plus another one from the EP called Tony Hart's Revenge Theme, which is really nice.

Has a few songs on a player there too, 'May your enemies never find happiness', being one of my favorites.

Ah right, it's just a forum that I read, and I found out about Halves from it about a week ago, and having never heard of them before I thought you might have got it from there too!

I'm liking it, might have to pick up a copy sometime :)

The beat reminds me of some of This Will Destroy You's songs at the beginning and a slower 65daysofstatic. Good stuff.

Singing's nice too :D

Edit: Song seems shorter than it should be, has it been edited down for the video?
