Awesome games done quick Jan 5th - Jan 11th

I didn't mean LoL, all I'm sayin is, balls to the walls skill, finesse and precision is much more fun to watch than somebody standing on a box trying to jump over an invisible wall. The reason ME/Portal etc weren't interesting or hard is because they were just glitched. Don't want to derail or **** on the thread any further though, so does anyone have links to the speedruns so I can check out Skyrim? Thanks.

Just a reminder there's a bonus stream on tonight starting around 5PM I believe. Apparently it could be a couple of days long thanks to how much they raised.

Thoroughly enjoyed this and glad I caught it. Did also end up staying up stupidly late watching some of the games.

VVVVVV was absolutely nuts to watch and they had the developer on a call with them too which was pretty cool.

Yeah I caught the end of the VVVVVV stream, was insane.

The next event is summer games done quick in a few months. Would be good to have the thread to raise awareness for the cause, and everyone loves a good speedrun every now and again :D

They needed more monitor interaction earlier on in the event.

shameless twitch promotion but there's this awesome MGS channel : twitch.tv/uKnighted

usually doing some for of play through one of the various MGS games and Metal Gear 1/2. Pretty much always played on the hardest difficulty and either doing speed runs, speed/story, or indepth story play throughs. Also they have marathons, think they said they have a 100+ hour marathon coming up, probably indepth story play through of all the games in chronological order (game story) back to back......two times or more xD I love it!!!! METAL GEAR?!

The Ocarina of Time (Zelda) was odd; took me ages to realise they were racing each other doing different strategies/exploits. Both used a Japanese version of the game though, which was interesting as it seemed to open up loads of glitches for them.

The other reason they use the Japanese version of these games is due to the way the text boxes work.

There are less characters used to create the words than when using the English language, so each text box loads up quicker and can be sped through quicker. This saves a lot of time on text-heavy games like Zelda and Paper Mario etc.
