Awesome Mario Galaxy Vid

Graphic wise I think it looks alright but the game play looks a little crazy/gimmicky, it will be interesting to see if it can remain fun over the course of a full game.

When i agreed that it `looked crap` i actually didnt mean specifically the visuals as those look ok. I meant it looked overall to be a gimmicky and rather poor game.

From that vid it looks like you`ll be spending most of your time `flying` from one spot to another which for my at least would get tedious rather quickly.

The more I see of this game the less I'm lookng forward to it. It just looks like a mish mash of different levels strung together randomly. I'll probably be completely wrong and it'll be great though! Why has mario got such big hands?!!!

Mario games have always been well known for their realism :p

but it doesnt show you how they are controlling it

They're controlling with the Wii Remote. You can see the little star flying around the screen, depending on where on the screen they were pointing.

Kinda looking forward to this. I like the visuals and the gameplay looks like it could be fun with some intresting bosses.

Graphics look no better than the GC in my opinion. However the gameplay looks excellent, back to the old Mario 64 as opposed to mario sunshine, which was a bit pants with that water shooting thingy job.

Will be picking one up, no doubt, as long as you can use a standard controller.

I'm not sure this is going to be all that great. I'm more looking forward to Super Paper Mario.

I thought the idea of the Wii was to make games simpler to play, that looks like a nightmare to get your head around.

The games may look similar to those on the gc, but does that really matter?

I booted up Metroid Prime last night, created a new game and started from the begining. Suddenly it was 4 hours later and almost time to get up! While not as detailed, it's as visually impressive as anything i've played on the 360 or pc - diverse, varied and aesthetically superb. The music is also as good as it gets.

Must admit I bought a cube and metroid the other week, and was surprised with how well it looked. Shame about the silly control system mind..... :)
