Ayrton Senna

I share the same birthday as Ayrton Senna?

I always wondered why I liked driving so much!

Rest in peace.

Still think Lewis Hamilton is remotely impressive anyone? ;)

Plenty more on YT where that one came from. All of it utterly magical.

LOL of course Hamilton is impressive...anyone who doesnt think so needs their eyes checked;). But saying that when Ayrton was racing, it was completely different ie the cars were much wider and im pretty sure that video above shows him taking his hand off the wheel and making his gear changes??....so it was much more difficult to race when Ayrton was in his prime compared to now.

Anyways i loved his battles with Prost, whos my all time favourite driver...perferred Prost over Ayrton as i always thought Ayrton was a bit up himself...with good reason though:p.

RIP Ayrton.

I often watch that particular vid to remind me just how different the cars are these days - that MP4/6 (I think?) looks like it's made of matchsticks compared to today's offerings.

Back when drivers really earned their money :)

Was watching the race in Imola live in 94 when he crashed. Still remember the shock today.

RIP Ayrton

I'll Never forget watching him Die.

R.I.P Ayrton Senna a True Legend.

I was only little but I remember it so vividly.

Bruno pulling over at the side last week was just scary. Those eyes are identical, I do hope he can be half the driver Ayrton was.

The best of them all and at a time when F1 really was exciting to watch. Awesome driver and I remember the limited edition Ducati they released with his name on as well.

F1 is boring now with a fixation to slow it down with new rules every year. If they really want to slow it doen then why doesn't Bernie Ecc introduce fluff to wrap around the rear axle as that slowed down my Scalextric no end when I was a bairn.

I remember Senna on a full boost qualifying lap, that was special and something I saw at Brands and Silverstone more than once.

Him, Mansell and Prost are what made F1 what it was back then. Bring back manual gear boxes and rattle the drivers around like that again, we'll soon see who the real men are ;)

Something that creeped me out when I was watching the qualifying for Bahrain was seeing a head on shot of Bruno Senna with his visor up... as Brundle said, its like looking into the past.
