Since i updated my azureus it crashes every time i start it.
I want to roll back to the previous version but i dont want to lose my half-finished downloads when i do so. Any ideas?

you shouldn't lose any unfinished downloads as the data will be saved.
having said that, it could all go wrong.

do this...

download utorrent

use the same download directory as before load all the torrents in utorrent and 'force recheck' all the files

and I wouldn't
just over install azureus, or uninstall then reinstall
uTorrent for the lose.

Switched to Utorrent from Azureus months ago, no problems here, and it doesn't hog your CPU like Azureus so you can do other things like game etc... which i couldn't while running Azureus. :)

uTorrent is most deffinatly for the WIN. Anyone who says otherwise is wrong, simple as that.
Sorry - You are wrong. :)

Most people find uTorrent better than Az, I find Az better.
(When more than one PC downloading on the same connection and/or Pipex connections)

You cannot say 100% that any one app is always better.

That's like saying Photoshop is the only photo-editing app. And that anyone who says otherwise is wrong.
Even if it's to let your granny crop a couple of photo's. Where Photoshop would be one of the worst choices.

(@H2F Scott - Reduce the number of simultaneous connections down from 1000 to something like 200, for both Az and uTorrent)

OP - Tryu the suggestions above - If not, delete the files from Docs & Sett\Applic Data\Azureus and it will clear all your settings.

having more than one pc on a uk internet connection is just silly imo..

our upload speeds are hampered so much, should just make one central pc and give everyone remote access to it

Heh - You try to persuade people to chip in for HDD's. ;)

Seems to work OK with limited connections.
Careful setting of max connections etc and hardly any slow-down of interweb.

thats why you lose.
tbh, azureus wins. FACT*
just because your PC is the lose (like you) doesn't make the application bad.
I can happy play all games (inc oblivion etc) while azureus is running with 0 issues.
also uTorrent doesn't have HALF the features that Azureus has (and it's lacking 100% of the ones I use).
AND encription in Azureus > encription in uTorrent FACT
so
let me reiterate
Azureus > * > uTorrent.

asif I needed more proof

:p

Um.

I personally perfer uTorrent. I can game and download at the same time however I still don't, as gaming suffers (not cpu related)

uTorrent has an option to schedule which I find is very nifty.

As for speeds on a private site I can get 700/800KBps down.

But that's just my opinion. I also I like BitComet a lot hard to chose between the two.
