Hi.
Ive noticed that in Azureus, that unless i force a download, that 90% of the time, Azureus wont download, even if there are seeds to download off.

Ideas?

No sorry, but move to utorrent. I dont know what people here think of it buts its handy and "portable" (i.e. can be installed to a flash drive / run from a stand-a-lone location). It can take over torrents you currently have too.

Well to be pedantic you can install almost any program to a flash drive.

Id recommend using a different client if your having problems.

I was a big azureus fan until i discovered Utorrent also. Does everything but just better.

True, what I meant was, that uTorrent is portable for small torrents, it doesnt have an installer, so its quite good in that respect

Are you sure you've got the relevant ports open under Windows XP Firewall, and on your hardware router (If you're using one)?

bitcomet - 4tw

both bitcomet and utorrent have their good points but the problem i find sometimes is the seeds. some files tend to have a small amount of seeds to download from and the downloads can be slow at times. if its for music and films i tend to lean towards ares which is good for downloading them but you have to be careful as you could download the wrong thing. i tried get one thing and got another. at least with torrents you are garanteed the right files although it may be slow at times

Your share ratio is 0.001, you big leech.

Only joking. it did it to me once. I cant remember how I resolved it exactly...

But I did the following

Checked Firewall
Checked port forwarding on router
Changed TCP listening port.

I think the last change solved it..

Oh, and make sure your not uploading too many torrents at once, as this can prevent downloads.

Or, like others have said, use a different client. Personally I dont mind Azureus. I usually get around 60-120Kbs download speed. But then, I tend to upload at 50kbs

Another Az to uTorrent convert here, just try loading up Az after using uTorrent....it feels so slow, like limewire, silly java ;p

yeah thats a thought. make sure you set up your limit on uplodes else that can choke your connection for downloading. see what your uploads run at ahd halve it should be ok
