Hi, I just got mine this morning, was a bit disappointed to see that all I got was the card, i would have liked the PCI-e power connector cable also but I nicked it from my old 6800ultra, I guess i'll have to buy another when coming to selling the 6800ultra.
Well first impressions upon viewing the card was, wow, the reference heatsink is actually preety good, it has about 4 heatpipes spreading the heat nicely, it eshausts hot air from one side which is preety nice, the fans a decent size also.
On mine I had a DELL label on it, which is a bit weird but there you go what can you say?
The size of the card is really rather large, im wondering did it actually need to be this big, its actually about half an inch bigger than a 6800ultra and the 6800 cards are fairly big, but its not really a problem for me as my case is tidy and fits neatly in my cast.
Hooked it up seems to be working perfect, just ATI testing for artifiacts now, this card is really quiet I think the combination of the big heatsink and big fan at low speed makes this thing barely audiable next to my case fans, the 6800ultra used to be by far the loudest thing in my case before.
Temps are really low on this aswel, idle temp is a magnificent 39 which is rather good considering the lowest idle temp I ever had with another card was around 50c or a little over, load temp is around 64c which is good again nice to know the card is running cooler on the reference cooler and quiet, was tempted to get a v900 but theres not much point really, im sure if I put AS5 on everything should be a little nicer also.

So what has everyone else got with their b-grade stuff, is it all working good?

Ahh feel bad for you mate, guess i've been very lucky all the stuff i've bought from b-grade has been working 100% fine, you'll get your refund though and a discount off the next order I expect which isnt bad.

If its not working email gibbo and tell him, mention your order reference and you should have a nice refund waiting for your next order.

On these 7800gtx cards, do the cores go up by 40 everytime you play a game? My 3dmark record the core at 468 whereas ati tool says its at 430?

vegeta,

I wasn't sure whether to expect mine today or not? Did you order yours Friday afternoon?

I ordered on Friday and I got the dispatch email on Saturday morning, so should it be delivered today?

Should arrive today mate, citylink have some daft delivery times, luckily mine was at 10:15 today but sometimes its been past 3pm.

I think ocuk use citylink to make a profit on all of us :/

No way the parcel they sent me cost them £8 to deliver, I could do it via royal mail special delivery for under a fiver.
OcUK probably have some deal going on with citylink for cheap delivery, I cant see why else they would use them.

It might even out, but why not be fair? I've been dieing to buy a vf900 for a while but with the delivery its pointless, charge appropriate delivery for the item weight etc, if you buy a case your expecting to pay high delivery, fi you buy your whole system your not going to be arsed it costs 30 to ship, if you buy a fdd your gunna be suspect of a £8 delivery charge.

If other companies can manage it, why cant ocuk? Ocuk is a lot more suscessfull than most of these companies by a fair margin also.

It said ocuk 7800gtx, but it clearly isnt because it has DELL on the heatsink and i'm getting a bit worried it doesnt have the black heatsink at the back, as those things get bloody hot i burnt my finger touching them.

clearance is brand new, they just dont want it anymore, b-grade is used or missing parts.

I'm getting very worried now mines not got the heatsink at the back, emailed gibbo like, i will still use this card, if it burns up hopefully it does it within 2 weeks so i can get my money back.

im happy to take that card off ya if you dont want it :D been searching for an GTX with that big cooler for ages :(

Well I had a word with Gibbo, quality guy btw :D
I'm going to send back this Dell 7800gtx because of lack of backplate, and its being replaced by a X1800xt for a extra tenner, I cant argue with that can I? Cheers Gibbo.
Will tell you all how things are once the x1800xt arrives.

I dont really want to get rid of it, the difference between a 7800gtx and x1800xt is soo minimal and I really like this card :/, trying to find a back heatsink for it asap, any suggestions anyone before OCUK give me the RMA number?

This cooler is absolutly quality btw, silent and never goes above 64C load.
39-44 idle.

Nonono, I love the normal heatsink, but it has the MOSFET cooler at the back missing, if I fit Zalman VGA ram heatsinks on them do you reckon that will be good enough?

No problems at the moment with no heatsinks on the mosfets, I will try and get some zalman vga ram heatsinks off ocuk, if not i'll just buy the x1800xt, buy zalman mosfets and sell it, or send it back to ocuk.

Hmm doesnt seem to have made any difference, then again running the top agp cards on 4X didnt make a difference, it still doesnt use all the bandwidth.
I think the fans meant to run at 100% on some of these, on my 7800gtx its on 100% and completly silent.

Ahh, the 6800 cards have bad fans mine used to run at 40% and they were still audible, even at 25% they were audible, I was lucky to get the cooler I did as at 100% it still turns slowly but its a large fan, the heatsink is a really nice design aswell.
Shame i'm getting rid of it because of no mosfet heatsink, will put some zalmans on the mosfets though.
