B Grade prices???

dont buy B Grade stuff from here, because they wont tell you what's wrong with it......esp the PC Cases, i've sent them a few emails this week and they've just fogged me off.

a pc case is worthless if it's damaged/scratched on the outside...........esp a Lian Li.......you want it to be damaged on the inside, because that's easy to fix, but they wouldn't tell me........i was quite cross about this !!!

As the previous case buyer at OCUK, its almost impossible to check each item, especially if there is more than 1 B grade quantity, if they checked it and tell you, a 2nd unit may get booked in, you order and you may get the other b grade item shippped to you and the issue may not be the reported reason.

i'd have assumed that it more a case of you pay your money you take your chances still have the limmted warrenty if it doesn't suit you just send it back :D

pretty much like the scratch and dent sales some other companys do

yes but i did ask the guy to take a look for me, let me know and if it's ok i'd buy it straight away, he only had to put on the box ``reserved for Malcolm``

They wont say, probably because they don't know ;)
Not all b grade is damaged, etc. As for whether it's worthless, depends on the saving...surely? Tiny scratch and saves half retail, not worthless. Bent, buckled out of shape then yes. The problem is, you're Mal X.

no the problem is i dont want to spend 100 quid on a quality Lian Li only to find that it has a 6'' scratch on it or even more..............that brushed Black Ally finish looks awfall if it's scratched, i've had two of them before..

scratches dont show nearly as much on gloss white

£100 on a case second hand with chance of a scratch or two when it retails brand new for £250? Yup, wouldn't mind that and good price.

£100, same as above but retails for £120? Hmm, nope. Like i said, depends on the saving. It's also like i said, the problem is you're Mal X as such wont listen :)

I'm still unsure whether the company of your product will honour the original warranty even if 3 months has passed with the OcUK b grade one. This is especially confusing as OcUK actually handle several of the GPU manufacturers returns directly.

Does 3 months mean 3 months? :D

no, the lian is 184 quid new ....get your facts right, so this makes 100 quid for this case with scratches too expensive.

but to be honest, a scratched Lian is worthless, because you buy a Lian because it's pure quality, that's what you go for.... you can only really get away with it if it's scratched on the inside.

In this particular instance yes. You wouldn't buy an 800 quid suit with a bleach stain on the back, even if it was down to 200 quid. The entire point of the product is its finish.

Suit has not practical use other than aesthetics, a case does so a small scratch here or there isn't the end of the world if you're getting a saving, how anyone is struggling to grasp that fact is beyond me.

Also, lol @ Mal. £184, get your facts straight!!! Yet didn't quote any case other than Lian, like they only make one case?

the one in the B Grade section, there's only two there.

.

While Tonester is on my ignore list, the fact that Mal X has quoted him reminds me the very good reason why he's staying on there. No practical use for a suit? They don't keep you warm? They don't command respect in the right circumstances? They aren't a requirement in certain fields of employment? How anyone is struggling to grasp that fact is beyond me.

Equally you could run a computer in a 20 quid case or even without a case at all. So a premium case with a big scratch across the middle loses all value if it has been bought with looks as a primary purpose.

On ignore yet responds, lol.
Decided to quote my first post for context, as lets face it, context is everything...;)

Two examples, two different outcomes. Both from bgrade, and both have a chance of scratches. You get your warranty, you get your 14 days DSR. First example considerable saving with chance of scratches, yes, worth the risk. Second example, very little saving - same chance of scratches, not worth the risk.
Yet here we are, my face is itching...this is why i don't respond to Mal posts, they lead to idiotic places.

the only person being an idiot around here is you ;)

it's clearly obvious that if a premium quality PC Case is damaged on the outside that it's nearly worthless......it's not a case of the Warranty etc, it's the fact that it's not worth having if it's scratched... for any money... ..it's not hard to realise this but for you it is.

We also expect members to behave respectfully and not launch personal or abusive attacks on other members. Those who post for the sole purpose of causing trouble are not welcome here and will be dealt with accordingly.

I once called someone an idiot and got banned for 4 days. I worded my post carefully and said it leads to idiotic places, i never directed that insult at anyone ;)

I'm sure the mods will see your post, hence why i quoted it just encase you decided to edit it. Wonder what you'll get ;)

Love how you still can't grasp what i'm trying to say though...:o

calling you an idiot isn't that bad is it, because you've been called a lot worst than that around here, plus i've been banned so often now that it doesn't really bother me as much as it once did

anyway that's enough of me on this thread ;)

I'd be a hypocrite to take offence to something so petty, it's not even an insult in my opinion. However i still got banned for it, so here to hoping the mods do the same to you.

I wont RTM the post, like i said. Not offended so would be mental for me to report the post...what do take me for, ranger? I said it to an AMD fanboy though, so it's like kicking a puppy...meh, the outrage that day.

Buys "B" Grade case. Wonders why it may be scratched.....

This is the message on every product in clearance section...

B Grade items may have been used, have damaged packaging, missing accessories or a combination of these.

Some items may have scuff marks or slight scratches but should otherwise be an operable product.

It's Mal, the bloke is....well, words cannot describe.
