Hi

Can someone please explain to me what this means exactly?

Do I get my full warantee with OCUK?
Do I get my full warantee with the manufacturer?

(I just bought a graphics card)

What card was it?

Ocuk happily RMA'd a b-grade card for me and gave me a new one out of stock, not sure how long it lasts for however as mine was within the month, after that they may ask you to return to the manufacturer
 
I'm fairly sure anything that is Bgrade holds a 28 day warranty with overclockers. After that, as long as you have proof of purchase, i don't see why you wouldnt have the full warranty with the manufacturer :)
 
You get a tight fisted 14 days (compared to at least 30, sometimes 90 days from other retailers). From then you have what is left with the manufacturer. It is also pot luck whether you get a full retail package or just the card/board in a plain box. Not so important when it comes to a graphics card though.
 
Only problem with OcUK's b-grades is they dont seem to update the prices so full retail versions are sometimes cheaper than b-grades :p

OcUK state a 14 day warranty period with 'B' grade stock. I understand that legally they have to honour the full 12 month warranty.

The 'B' grade stock used to be really good value, I remember buying a top of the range MSI 939 board that included a wireless adapter for £17 - the board was brand new and came boxed with all of the accessories, the board retailed new for £100+

I've had in total of 6 'B' grade motherboards, 4 worked, 1 was faulty and the last one had bodged soldering work done to the dimm sockets, if I'd powered it up with the memory in etc. it probably would have caused quite a bit of damage.

I find that a lot of the 'B' grade stock is now overpriced and isn't always worth taking the risk. I only tend to buy if there is at least 50% of the retail price of a new item.

There might be 68464864646854654865464641674684764156486453416846184686 threads on this but there is still obviously confusion. OcUK used to offer a 14 day warranty on 'B' grade. Has this now changed to 28 days? can someone from OcUK confirm please.

I got confused by what b grade was, they need a link on their site - "What is B Grade?" with all the details.

They used to have a 'Clearance' and a 'B' grade section with information explaining what the warranty was etc. They have recently combined the 'Clearance' and 'B' grade under 'Sale' but no longer explain the warranty terms.
 
I got a b - grade OCZ elitestream 1000W psu. Retail £146, b -grade £70. The only thing missing was the kettle lead :D

Aye some b-grades are pretty much as good as new, but sadly its a lottery and you sometimes will get one thats missing pretty much everything.

going from my luck with the lottery, I've not bothered :rolleyes:
 
B-Grade is hit and miss, I got a Samsung 245B monitor the other day, it came as if it was brand new instructions and all cables where sealed, only thing was the box was a bit worn up which is why i suspect it was placed under bgrade.

Some manufacturers will not deal with the customer - you have to go through the retailer, so this is where it gets messy.
