In the world of budget systems, another £100 is a lot of money. If you're on AM2 and have a compatible board, why bother buying a new motherboard and having to go down the windows re-install route when you can just stick a £119 Phenom in?

The B3 steppings are still terrible overclockers. Anandtech said they couldn't get over 2.6ghz...which is major crapola.
where did you read this, i thought the only info we had fron Anand was that the B3 steppings perform exactly the same as the B2 with the TLB Fix disabled? it was a B2 they got @ 3.0Ghz to boot into windows, but only stable for apps/games @ 2.6Ghz
