My local Morrisons has started selling B30 biodiesel (at the same price as normal diesel - 99.9p/litre). I've got a diesel Ford Mondeo and Ford explicitly state that the TDCi engines are only rated up to 5% biodiesel and not 30%.

A quick Google search reveals that many car manufacturers will not warranty their cars with B30, so - what's the problem and are there any of you out there who are using this fuel? Seems pointless if most manufacturers are inadvertantly hinting that you'll barely make it 300yds off the forecourt without breaking down on this fuel and you get no cost benefit from trying to 'go green'...

Bio Diesel is far from Green.

Usless marking crap it is.

Lets juist cutr down a rain forrest so we can plant crops to create biodiesel

Common rail diesels may not like it one bit. I used to run my old ZX (XUD9) on 100% bio and it ran fine.

Generaly older engines are better than newer ones.

Common rail engine love bio, it's veg that kills them. Whereas the xud9 will run on pretty much everything upto and including lard, old socks and chicken bones.
