B450 5950x + 4 ram sticks.... Advice required

Glad you are up and running.

This is the frustrating part

It crashed at 16,16,16,16,36

Now I'm back down to 16,19,19,19,39.

I don't care that much about the few % I'm losing in performance. Memory tuning takes ages and it'd hard to tell exactly when it's completely stable.

I will run memtest overnight at these settings, but even that's no guarantee it won't crash doing something else.

Have you checked all same manufacturer? I have 2 sticks Samsung, 2 sticks Micron, which may not help things.

These 8pack sticks are supposed to be identical.

I think it's the IMC on the CPU combined with the b450 motherboard.

drop the speed slightly
