Baby Bluetits found

Hi

Have a bird box nest in the garden which had bluetits in it.

Today I found 5 baby bluetits on the lawn which can't fly and the mother and father are no where to be seen.

Is it best to put them back in the bird box, and hope the mother and father return, one has already died most likely a cat had it.

Not really sure whats happened, does 5 seem a lot for one nest?

I would put them back into the box after checking there is nothing in there that caused them to leave. Hopefully the parents haven't been had by said cat!

Was real windy yesterday, Maybe the nest got blown out the tree. Best thing to do is Adopt them yourself & breast feed them.

True about being windy, mind you the box is sheltered very well.

Anyway I have put them back in, forgot to check if anything might be in the box for them to flee it but it's a bit awkward to get to.

Probably best to leave them where there were. But no harm putting them back. Hope parents turn up!

After posting that I realised my own Deviant previous searches would have a Bad effect on Results.

Check they aren't hungry. Feed them some worms if you have any. If not try spaghetti in brown sauce as it looks similar.

Yeah often these fledgling birds come out before they can fly and are just sittingducks! If they came out on ttheir own accord they'll probably just do it again annoyingly.

A blue Tit isn't even something you can really rear yourself either if parents are KIA. Theirdiet is too tricky.
Crows etc are doable
